Description | SASSICAIA 2010Sassicaia 2010 is a prestigious Italian wine, renowned throughout the world for its enological excellence and its ability to balance body with complexity. Produced in the Bolgheri Sassicaia area, it represents a milestone for the excellences that have made the history of Italian enology. Created by the ingenuity of Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, Sassicaia Tenuta San Guido comes from the union of Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc grapes planted in a land characterized by a composition of natural elements similar to the Bordeaux area. Thanks to the important contribution of the enologist Giacomo Tachis, Sassicaia has become a symbol of the highest quality Italian wine production. The vinification took place with the selection of the grapes using a sorting table. Very soft pressing and destemming of the grapes and subsequent fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature of around 30°; - 31°C (without the addition of external yeasts), with maceration of about 12-15 days for the Cabernet Francs and 10-13 days for the Cabernet Sauvignon. Frequent pumping over of the musts and délestages. The malolactic fermentation in steel is completed in November. The refinement, at the end of the malolactic fermentation and after a rotation of decanting to ensure cleanliness, the wine begins the period of refinement in French oak barriques for a period ranging from 20 to 25 months. The length of the aging is technically decided on the basis of the seasonal trend of the vintage. Sassicaia 2010 is a wine that will enhance great occasions and sumptuous dinners, but that will surprise even if enjoyed in solitude and meditation. San Guido EstateThe Tenuta San Guido is a historic winery located in the Tuscan Maremma, along the Etruscan coast that goes from Livorno to Grosseto. Since 1968 it has achieved worldwide fame thanks to its famous Sassicaia wine, considered one of the best in the world. The company can count on ninety hectares of vineyards, of which 75 dedicated exclusively to the production of Sassicaia. Tenuta San Guido also produces two other labels: the "Guidalberto" and ""The Defenses"".
