| Description | Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2017 - Biondi Santi CellarsOrigins and Territory: In the historic Greppo estate of Montalcino, Siena, Brunello di Biondi-Santi was born, a winemaking tradition started by Clemente Santi. The marly soil and the ideal micro-climate provide the perfect conditions for the maturation of Sangiovese Grosso. Winemaking Process:The 2017 Brunello was produced with a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes, vinified in vitrified concrete with indigenous yeasts and aged for three years in Slavonian oak barrels. Sensory Characteristics: It has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, notes of cherry, black cherry and blood orange emerge, enriched by balsamic hints and fragrant herbs. In the mouth, it stands out for its energy, balance and elegance, with soft and silky tannins that leave a pleasant sensation of freshness. 2017 vintage: Characterized by a favorable climate, with a rainy winter followed by a temperate spring and a hot but not excessive summer. These conditions allowed a slow and balanced maturation of the grapes, with a harvest that emphasized the aromatic charge of the wine.
