Wine CharacteristicsThe Conte Gastone Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Bio 2019 is a dry red wine, certified organic. Produced with Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes grown on clay and marly soil, at an altitude of 100 - 250 metres. The density of the plants is 5000 per hectare and the breeding takes place with the Guyot method. This Amarone della Valpolicella represents the excellence of the terroir, combining the unique characteristics of the soil with a careful selection of the grapes. Vinification process of Amarone della ValpolicellaAfter careful selection in the vineyard, the grapes are arranged in boxes and left to dry in the fruit cellar, where temperature and humidity are controlled. During winemaking, cold maceration is prolonged for approximately two weeks. Subsequently, alcoholic fermentation begins in steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the same steel tank. The wine ages in French oak tonneaux for 2 years, followed by 12 months of aging in the bottle.
