The "Dorilli 2018" represents the quintessence of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico DOCG, a noble wine that comes from a careful selection of the vineyards surrounding the Dorilli estate, located near the Dirillo river. This wine is the result of the union of the noble Nero d'Avola (70%) with the Frappato di Vittoria (30%), the Iblean vine par excellence. The refinement in wood gives the wine a distinctive character, making it a testimony to the uniqueness of the land and Sicilian history.

Wine Characteristics

Dorilli 2018 is a fine and elegant expression, with intense and fruity aromas. Its remarkable structure and minerality distinguish it as one of the reference wines of Southern Italy. Produced according to the criteria of sustainability and organic farming, the wine is born in the Gurra and Dispensa vineyards, in the municipality of Acate (RG). The vinification takes place in 80% stainless steel and in oak barrels for the remaining 20%, guaranteeing a perfect combination of freshness and structure.

Technical Details

Dorilli 2018 has an alcohol content of 13.5% vol. and an aging potential that varies between 5 and 10 years. The refinement takes place in 36 hl oak barrels, and the bottling took place in June 2020.

Organoleptic Notes

The wine has a ruby-purple color, deriving from the red sands of the Nero d'Avola and Frappato vineyards. The aromas of ripe black cherry mix with notes of cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon. In the mouth, the ripe and soft tannin dissolves thanks to an incredible fruit sweetness. Oriental spices combine with complex flavors of smoked bacon, cooked must, marjoram and prickly pears.
