This wine comes from the Feudo di Mezzo cellar, located in the heart of Etna viticulture, and represents one of the most authentic and refined expressions of the Etna terroir. The search for a current expression of this noble vine, grown in the splendid and unique terroir of Etna, has given life to a wine of distinctive character and personality. Wine CharacteristicsThe wine comes from the vineyards of Feudo di Mezzo and Pietramarina, located in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia. These lands, rich in lava and extraordinarily mineral sands, offer perfect exposure and position, surrounded by woods and recent lava flows. The vinification takes place in 80% stainless steel and in oak barrels for the remaining 20%, guaranteeing the wine a perfect combination of freshness and structure. Technical DetailsEtna Rosso 2021 has an alcohol content of 13.40% vol. and an aging potential that can vary from drinking immediately up to 6-7 years. The refinement takes place in wooden and steel vats for 6-8 months, and the bottling took place in July 2022. Organoleptic NotesThe wine stands out for its aromatic notes of vanilla, black cherry, wild strawberry and a very clean floral touch. In the mouth, the wine is fleshy but smooth, with very expressive fruit and complex aromatic incursions of undergrowth, myrtle and oriental spices.
