The family-run winery is located in the heart of Val Venosta, an area traditionally suited to apple cultivation. However, since the late 1990s, the estate has been been completely converted to viticulture. Today, Falkenstein is synonymous with high quality, not only in the region but also at a national level.

The vineyards are positioned on steep terraced slopes, made up of rocky and mineral soils. The climate is cold and continental, ideal for white grapes such as Riesling and, of course, Gewurztraminer.

The white Gewurztraminer from Falkenstein is the result of fermentation in large acacia wood barrels. After 10 months of rest in the barrel and further months in the bottle, the wine is ready for marketing. Acacia wood does not impart aromas to the wine, but contributes to its maturation.

The color is a bright light yellow with golden highlights. The bouquet is rich and intense, with floral aromas and aromas of citrus, ripe yellow fruit, tropical fruit, lychees and passion fruit. The palate is soft, with an aromatic center of the mouth and a finish of good freshness and flavor.
