This unique project aims to facilitate the reintegration of prisoners into society through viticulture. Terroir and WinemakingGrown organically, Gorgona Rosso comes from a small vineyard located in a natural amphitheater on the island of Gorgona. The 2021 harvest benefited from favorable climatic conditions, with abundant rainfall and moderate temperatures which allowed the Sangiovese and Vermentino Nero vines to grow excellently. Tasting NotesThe Gorgona Rosso 2021 has an intense ruby red color and garnet reflections. The nose reveals a varied and complex bouquet of small red fruits, juniper, Mediterranean herbs and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is enveloping, savory and fresh, with lively tannins.
