| Description | Heraion Fiano Cilento DOP 2021 - The Wines of the Knight: The Supreme Expression of the Cilento TraditionThe history of "Heraion Fiano Cilento DOP"Heraion is a white wine that embodies the passion and dedication of the Cuomo family, which has been leading the "I Vini del Cavaliere" winery for three generations. This wine bears the name of the ancient temple of Hera, located in nearby Paestum, as a symbol of the indissoluble bond between wine and the Cilento area.The Vineyard: A Unique TerroirThe vineyard from which the Heraion is born extends over clayey-calcareous soils, ideal for the expansion of the roots and the absorption of essential minerals. The plants are espalier trained, with a density of 4000 plants per hectare, to ensure perfect ripening of the grapes.The Production of the "Heraion"The grapes are harvested in the first or second ten days of September and subjected to a soft pressing after destemming. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel fermenters.
