Each cast iron model is still produced in the Fresnoy-le-Grand factory. Because some passages are still based on capacity manual and handcrafted, each piece is perfect; unique characterized by its own identity. From a cauldron called Creuset, liquid cast iron is poured into sand molds that are subsequently broken to pass to the enamelling and high temperature vitrification phase over the entire surface. The initial glazing guarantees durcapacity and resistance to thermal changes. The vitrified enamelling gives it a bright colored finish, but above all it guarantees wide versatility and use for food preparation and storage.
