Produced with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, grown in the hills of the Florentine Hills in the Pomino DOC, this Classic Method Millesimato celebrates the bold vision of Leonia, who introduced French vines to Pomino, awarded at the Paris Expo in 1878. < p>The 2020 harvest, characterized by a mild winter and dry days, guaranteed healthy and aromatic grapes. Manual harvesting is followed by soft pressing to extract only the heart of the berry. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature, with a small part in wood, while refermentation in the bottle and aging on the yeasts for 30 months complete the process, giving structure and refinement.In the glass, Leonia Brut 2020 has a brilliant straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it releases citrus aromas of grapefruit, yellow fruit and white flowers, accompanied by notes of spices, dried fruit and bread crust.
