| Description | Leonia Pomino Brut Bianco DOC Jéroboam 2019: An Expression of Elegance and TraditionThe Leonia Pomino Brut Bianco DOC Jéroboam 2019, presented in a refined wooden box, represents the pinnacle of Frescobaldi's innovation and winemaking tradition. This sparkling wine expresses the elegance and determination of Leonia, Lamberto Frescobaldi's great-great-grandmother. Climate and Harvest2019 saw a mild winter followed by early budbreak. Despite a cold and rainy May, the climate then stabilized, allowing the vines to grow optimally at an altitude of up to 700 m above sea level, guaranteeing healthy and balanced grapes until the harvest. Vinification and MaturationThe manual harvest and slow pressing gave life to a cuvée of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. After fermentation in stainless steel and partly in wood, the wine underwent aging on the yeasts for 36 months, completed by remuage and dégorgement. Tasting NotesThe Leonia Brut 2019 has a brilliant straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, hints of cedar, bergamot, passion fruit and flowers such as iris and orange blossom emerge. On the palate it is fresh, mineral and creamy with a long and persistent finish. |
