Inspired by Leonia, Lamberto Frescobaldi's great-great-grandmother, this Classic Method Brut Millesimato is a celebration of bold, quality viticulture. Climate and Harvest2019 was characterized by a mild winter and early budding of the Pomino vineyards. The variable climatic conditions, between a cold May and a hot June, favored the balanced growth of the vines, leading to a high quality harvest. Vinification and MaturationAfter a manual harvest, the grapes were delicately pressed, followed by cold clarification and fermentation in stainless steel and partly in wood. The aging on the yeasts for 36 months enriched the wine with complexity and creaminess. Tasting NotesThis sparkling wine stands out for its straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, aromas of cedar, bergamot, passion fruit, iris and acacia emerge, followed by notes of wildflower honey and candied citrus fruits. On the palate it is fresh, mineral and creamy, with a long and persistent finish. |
