The Licosa 2023, Cilento Fiano DOC, is a white wine of great depth that reflects the authenticity and character of the Fiano del Cilento. Originating from a single vineyard located in the picturesque town of Punta Licosa in Castellabate, this wine is an ode to the winemaking tradition of this region.
Visually, Licosa has a straw yellow color with golden reflections, a prelude to the richness that is revealed in the glass. The olfactory bouquet is broad and complex, with floral hints of acacia and jasmine that mix harmoniously with notes of ripe fruit, including peach and apricot, and a light hint of honey.
In the mouth, Licosa reveals a full body and an intense structure that expresses all the power of Fiano. The slightly very marked acidity offers a perfect counterpoint to the aromatic richness of the wine, giving a vibrant freshness that pervades the palate. The minerality of the soil of origin makes itself felt, contributing to a complex and layered palate.
The persistence is remarkable, with a long and clean finish that leaves a sensation of ripe fruit and fresh flowers, inviting you to a another sip. This wine represents a true expression of Cilento, capable of telling the story of a unique territory through its aromatic and gustatory nuances.
The Licosa 2022 is a meditation wine, which lends itself to accompanying fish dishes rich or mature cheeses.

Description | Licosa 2023 Il Colle del Corsicano: Wines from the heart of CilentoWelcome to the south, in the heart of Cilento where the vignaniolo Alferio Romito grows the Fiano grapes in the only vineyard of Punta Licosa, in the area of Santa Maria di Castellabate. "Imagine a vineyard surrounded by the sea, where you can find the colors of nature and its scents while a light breeze caresses you. In words it is very difficult to explain the spectacle that the Punta Licosa vineyard offers, you have to see it with your own eyes." Cultivation and VinificationLicosa is a white wine of singular refinement, composed entirely of Fiano grapes, a historic vine of the Italian winemaking tradition. This choice to use 100% Fiano grapes gives Licosa a distinctive personality and an unmistakable aromatic profile. The vineyard from which Licosa comes is exposed both to the South/West and to the North/West, ensuring excellent exposure to the sun throughout the day. The soil varies from sandy to sandy/clay areas. This diversity of soils contributes to creating a wine with a rich and complex bouquet. The cultivation system adopted is simple counter-espalier, with guyot pruning strong>. This technique promotes balanced growth of the vines and uniform ripening of the grapes, contributing to the creation of a superior quality wine. The grapes for Licosa are harvested manually, with great care and attention. This manual harvesting allows you to select only the best bunches, which are then delicately placed in small 15 kg boxes to preserve their integrity. The vinification of Licosa takes place in white, in thermo-conditioned tanks. This process, which involves the exclusion of the skins from the entire fermentation process, allows us to obtain a white wine with a light color and a clean, fruity taste. In conclusionLicosais a white wine produced with great care and attention, from the choice of the grape variety and the position of the vineyards, through the manual harvesting of the grapes, up to the white vinification. This wine represents an excellent example of how Italian wine tradition can combine with innovative techniques to create a high quality product. Azienda Agricola Il Colle del CorsicanoThe company agricultural The Colle del Corsicano has its roots in the picturesque city of Castellabate, located in the province of Salerno, in Campania >. The area of San Marco di Castellabate, in particular, is home to the family's historic lands where the native Aglianico and Primitivo vines are grown. The company practices organic farming, meticulously following practices that involve nourishing the soil through organic substances and minerals released by grassing.
