Everything was born from a vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon planted in Montalcino in 2004. Over the years, these vines have surprised with the exceptional quality of their grapes, to the point of pushing them to produce a wine that could best interpret the terroir of Tenuta Luce through Cabernet Sauvignon. A small part of Sangiovese grapes has been added to enrich its character. The long aging in new French oak barrels for 24 months has further enhanced the elegance of the wine. It was the 2015 harvest, and thus Lux Vitis was born, a rare and inimitable wine, which embodies the passion and love for the vine and for the land of Montalcino.

The harvest < strong>2019 of Lux Vitis Toscana IGT was influenced by the climatic conditions of the year. The winter was cold, with minimum temperatures recorded in January and little rainfall. The cool spring, characterized by rains concentrated in the month of May, allowed the creation of important water reserves in the soil and delayed the vegetative development of the plants.

The summer was hot and sunny, without particular heat peaks and with some rainfall present between the end of July and the beginning of August. However, the month of September was fabulous: after a rainy event at the beginning of the month, temperatures remained mild until the grapes were harvested. This made it possible to preserve a great aromatic freshness within the grapes.

The harvest of the Lux Vitis Toscana IGT grapes began in early October and the grapes had an exceptional phenolic and aromatic potential. Thanks to the favorable climatic conditions, the 2019 harvest led to wines with an intense and harmonious character, an expression of the territory and its uniqueness.
