| Description | Marchesa Mariabella Ripasso Superiore DOC 2022“Freshness is our interpretation of Ripasso, a savory and complex, fragrant and brilliant wine. The note of cherry and wild strawberries give me immediacy, authenticity and remind me of my first homemade cherry jams." Wine CharacteristicsMarchesa Mariabella Ripasso Superiore DOC 2022 is a certified organic dry red wine. Produced with Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes grown on clay and marly soil at an altitude of 100 - 250 metres. The vines are trained with the Guyot method and have a density of 7000 plants per hectare. This wine represents the excellence of the terroir, combining the natural freshness of the grapes with the unique characteristics of the soil. Winification and RefinementAfter careful selection in the vineyard, the grapes are harvested manually and subjected to prolonged maceration in steel tanks. After a few months, the Amarone pomace is added to the wine obtained from fresh grapes for a second fermentation. The "repassing" on the pomace enriches the wine in structure and complexity. After malolactic fermentation in steel, the wine ages in French oak tonneaux for 12 months, followed by a further 12 months of aging in the bottle.
