Pradalupo Roero Arneis DOCG: An Expression of Roero Elegance and Balance

Pradalupo, Roero Arneis DOCG, is; a brilliant expression of the Arneis varietal, a native grape of the Piedmont region, which flourishes in the Roero hills. This wine captures the essence of the local terroir, thanks to sandy soils, rich in sandstone and calcareous marls of different shades. yellowish. The vineyards, facing south-east and located at an altitude of 200-300 meters above sea level, help create a wine of considerable complexity. and sophistication.

Production and Vinification

The training system adopted for the Arneis is; the Guyot, with a density; of 4500 vines per hectare. The harvest takes place between the second and third ten days of September. The winemaking approach is unique. particularly cared for: 20% of the grapes are destemmed, crushed and cold macerated for 24 hours at a temperature of 10 °C. At the end of the maceration, a soft pressing is carried out, while the remaining grapes are placed directly in the press without pressing. The must obtained from both techniques is then kept separate in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, the two wines are blended and stored at a temperature of 5°C to prevent malolactic fermentation.

Pradalupo Roero Arneis DOCG has an intense straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, the bouquet evokes the aromas of exotic fruit, ripe pear, hawthorn flowers and acacia honey. In the mouth it is pleasantly enveloping, soft, with a sweetness balanced by acidity, which gives freshness and sapidity. to the aftertaste.
