| Description | AMADEO LYRA Wine Decanter by RIEDEL made of hand made blown crystal glass. Height 350 mm 13 7/8". Capacity 1500 cc 52 7/8 oz. Design 2006. Single pack. This harp-shaped decanter was originally produced to celebrate Riedel's 250th anniversary. Its graceful shape, similar to a harp, makes it unique and particular. Georg Riedel once said: "I prefer to decant wines, young and old, it is a sign of respect for old wines and a sign of confidence in young wines.The decanting of old wines, a few moments before they are served, helps ensure that the clarity and brilliance of the wines are not obscured by any deposits that have developed over time. Decanting young wines several hours before they are served gives the wine the chance to flourish and reach a stage of development that normally requires years of aging". RIEDEL, in Kufstein, exclusively produce handmade glass. Each handmade item is made individually by master glassmakers. The experience of these artisans ensures that the quality of each piece meets the high standards for which the Riedel brand is known. Because of the handwork, small tolerances in size and weight, bubbles or imperfections and slight surface variations are a feature of the product itself. |
