| Description | Susumaniello is a very ancient red grape variety grown mainly in Salento, between the provinces of Lecce and Brindisi. The grapes, of an intense bluish-black color, are rich in beneficial substances capable of expressing a wine with a powerful structure and rich in aromas. The young Susumaniello is generous and shy (susco in the local jargon), but as it ages it becomes very balanced and gives wines with a lively colour, intense aromas and elegant tannins. Susco Susumaniello Salento ICP (Protected Geographical Indication) of San Marzano is a red wine produced with 100% Susumaniello grapes produced in the Salento areas with Guyot cultivation.< /p> The dark cultivation soil is of coastal origin, rich in texture, of medium texture which tends to be sandy, medium deep, porous and draining. The harvest takes place between the second and third ten days of September. The vinification takes place through thermo-controlled maceration and alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts for about 10 days.
