| Description | Terra D'Eclano Aglianico 2021: The Essence of IrpiniaThe Terra D'Eclano Aglianico 2021, a fine example of Irpinia DOC, represents the quintessence of Quintodecimo viticulture. This wine, obtained from carefully selected Aglianico grapes, comes from five different vineyards located between 420 and 460 meters above sea level, on variously composed soils, some clayey and others of volcanic origin, exposed to the south/east, south/west and north/ west. Aromatic Profile and WinemakingThe aromatic profile of Terra D'Eclano is rich and complex, with dominant notes of berries, plums, liquorice and coffee. On the palate, this wine reveals itself to be enveloping and seductive, thanks to its soft and silky tannins that blend with an extraordinary mineral freshness. The finish is long, characterized by a harmonious fusion of balsamic and spicy hints. Winemaking follows a careful and scrupulous process. After careful sorting, the pressed grapes ferment for 15-20 days at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. The 12-month maturation in oak barriques, 50% new, helps to strengthen the structure and complexity of this wine, which shows exceptional aging potential. Pairings and TastingThis Aglianico pairs perfectly with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats and mature cheeses. It is ideal to be enjoyed on special occasions or during an intimate dinner. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 °C to fully enhance its qualities. Its structure and complexity make it an ideal wine for maturation in the bottle, promising surprising evolution over the years. |
