The soil is rich in skeleton and limestone, with low fertility, ideal for the production of high quality wines. The vines are trained with the Guyot pruning system, and the density of the planting is 3,000 vines per hectare. The harvest takes place manually in the last week of September. The aging of the wine takes place for 30 months in oval barrels, followed by 12 months of refinement in the bottle.Organoleptic characteristicsThe Brunello di Montalcino 2018 from Cantine Cotarella has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of ripe red fruit, aromatic herbs and spices. In the mouth it is deep and salty, with surprising notes of ginger and dried flowers.
