Vermentino Bolgheri DOC 2022 Guado al Tasso Estate Cantine Marchesi Antinori

Tenuta Guado al Tasso's Vermentino has a straw yellow color, greenish reflections give the wine a very special charm. Vermentino 2022 - Vermentino DOC from the Marchesi Antinori cellars

Vermentino 2022 is a Vermentino DOC, skilfully produced by the Marchesi Antinori cellars. This wine is the fruit of a 2022 vintage in Bolgheri, characterized by a particular climate which guaranteed perfect health of the grapes and favored a reduction in vegetative development and production in terms of quantity. The Vermentino bunches have reached significantly smaller than average dimensions with a consequent decrease in yields.

Winemaking

Each row was harvested separately, according to the level of ripeness of the grapes, in order to enhance the complex territorial characteristics of each vineyard. Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes were destemmed, gently crushed and softly pressed. The must obtained was transferred to stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of 16°C. The different lots have been carefully and regularly evaluated and assembled. The Vermentino of Tenuta Guado al Tasso was bottled in January 2023.

Origin and History

Vermentino 2022 comes from the Guado al Tasso estate, located in the small and prestigious DOC of Bolgheri, on the coast of the Upper Maremma, about a hundred kilometers southwest of Florence. This denomination, born in 1994, boasts an international reputation as a new point of reference in the world wine scene. The estate covers an area of ​​1,000 hectares, of which about 320 are planted with vineyards, the rest cultivated with wheat, sunflowers and olive trees, in a splendid plain surrounded by hills known as the "Bolgheri amphitheater" due to its particular shape.
