The "Villa Antinori" Toscana Bianco IGT 2022 by Marchesi Antinori is a wine with an elegant straw yellow color, embellished with light greenish reflections. On the nose, the intense aromas of fresh and crunchy white fruit stand out, such as apple, pear, pineapple and banana, floral nuances of wild flowers, and delicate spicy and candied fruit hints. In the mouth it is agile, slender and drinkable, characterized by a pleasant savory-mineral freshness and a finish with good persistence. Villa Antinori Toscana IGT Bianco 2022

Villa Antinori Bianco 2022 is a wine with deep roots in the Tuscan winemaking tradition, representing one of the historic wines of the Antinori family. Produced for the first time in 1931 by Niccolò Antinori, it has kept the label almost unchanged, as well as the production philosophy, oriented towards representing its land of origin.

Vintage and Climate

The 2022 vintage was marked by a mild winter with little rain. The budding of the vine began in early April, a few days later than in 2021, due to the low temperatures recorded in that period. The month of May, with warm and sunny days and higher than average temperatures, favored a rapid development of the vine and an early flowering, which took place in the last ten days of the month. The summer, generally hot and dry, was interspersed with some rainy events starting from mid-August, facilitating a good ripening of the grapes. The harvest, like the previous year, began in the last week of August for the Pinot Grigio, continued with the Pinot Bianco and Riesling Renano around 15 September and then concluded with the Trebbiano Toscano from the middle of the month onwards.< /p>

Winemaking

Once harvested, the grapes were destemmed and gently pressed. The must obtained was cooled to a temperature of 10 °C to favor its natural clarification. After 48 hours, it was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature not exceeding 18°C. The wine was stored in steel tanks at a temperature of 10 °C until bottling, which took place from November 2022.

Tasting Notes

Villa Antinori Bianco has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is intense and fine: hints of orange blossom blend harmoniously with fruity aromas reminiscent of pineapple, golden apple and banana. On the palate, it is fresh, pleasantly taut, enveloping and with a mineral finish.
